The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055.  The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay Today.  Selection Committee members were Jim Connell – Assistant Superintendent for Support Services, John Merrill – Director of Maintenance, and Carol Studdard – School Board Member.  

As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee ranked the following firms in priority order:

1.   Haddad Engineering, Inc.

2.   Estrella Engineering, Inc.

3.   Searcy Engineering, Inc.

Appoint the top ranked firm, Haddad Engineering, Inc. at a fee of 6% of the construction cost for Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Continuing Services.

All funding necessary for the Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Continuing Services fees resulting from this contract are budgeted within the Educational Facilities Plan.  The exact amount of fees cannot be determined at this time.
